Chapter Tests:
These tests focus on individual chapters within each subject. After you click the "Chapter Test" button, a dropdown menu of all subjects will appear. By selecting a topic, you’ll see all available chapter tests for that topic. You can then choose the specific chapter test you wish to take.
Subject Tests:
You’ll find three types of subject tests, each designed to evaluate different levels of understanding
- Basic Subject Tests (BST): These assess the fundamental concepts of a single subject.
- Advanced Subject Tests (AST): These dive deeper into complex topics within a subject.
- Multiple-Subject Tests (MST): combine multiple subjects for a comprehensive assessment, Each test is named using the subject name, followed by the test code. For example, a Basic Subject Test for Environment will be labelled Environment_BST, while an Advanced Subject Test will be labelled Environment_AST. Multi-subject tests will have the suffix _MST.
All India Mock Tests:
These mock tests are designed to simulate the real GATE exam environment, allowing you to practice under actual exam conditions. You’ll find them listed above the subject and chapter test buttons for your convenience. Each mock test includes detailed analysis and video solutions for important questions, providing insights into areas where you can improve.
The All India Mock Tests begin on a fixed schedule, typically starting 5 months before the GATE exam. The test schedule is released every year in June, giving you ample time to plan and prepare accordingly.
